Long overdue update

Life is busy, but never too busy to give thanks to the lord.

Dear Lord thank you for your son and for ours! We are never promised to tomorrow, we are given today, let's make the most of it!

Colt turned 3 on June 17

  • We participated in the DQ Miracle Treat Day for UK Children's Hospital in August, Colt got to be the miracle child for the Downtown Winchester Dairy.

Colt had a followup cardiologist appointment on August 22, he is finally up to 27 pounds, we we were hoping to hear about when the next surgery will be, but he still has to get to 30 pounds, he got to switch to a pill blood pressure medicine instead of liquid and now only 2 times a day instead of 3, we go back in Feb. 2012 and hopefully he will be up to the 30 pounds.

September 10, we got to attend Rockfest @ Bi-farm Farm in Georgetown and represent UK Children's hospital. Wow what fun we all had. It was a great fun raiser for the hospital, so nice to have such giving sponsors and businesses.

That about wraps it up, I started my 3rd term in school, only 2 more to go after this. Amen!

Colt just gets smarter by the day, he keeps me entertained and on my feet.

June 2011

I know it has been a really long time since I have posted, and I have been meaning too, but with one energetic little one it seems time just flies by.

So much has changed in our life since my last post, due to workforce reduction I was laid off of work in October and was given 8 weeks to find another position within the company, however it was rather difficult to find another job within the company since all jobs open where out of the country.

The lord always has a plan. Even though I have worked from home ever since Colt was born, he has loved it even more me not being so stressed out about work. After looking and looking for another job that has close to a comparable pay in the same state no luck unless I wanted to move to another state.

I was pointed in another direction to go back to school. I started National College in March and just completed my first term with a 4.0 GPA and I am loving it, by Feb. of next year I will be out of school and completed their Medical Billing and Coding program and ready for a new career.

It all goes to show hope is never lost, only found in other ways. I faithfully listen to KLOVE and hearing so many stories of people out of work and struggling, I have been there. God will not fulfill your every want, but your every need, sometimes he uses people in your life to get the message to you.

All my life I have been so blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family and friends.

Colt had a followup on May 23rd, he is still not to 30 pounds but is is okay, his heart is still going strong, he goes back in August for another follow up and I am really hoping to find out if we get a time frame on when his next surgery will be , orginally I was told they wanted him to be 3 and 30 pounds. Bradley and I and our family have noticed that Colt seems to get tired more easily, hopefully is it is all the growing, he is getting taller and getting smarter everyday. He loves to play the Wii and it has been a great potty training tool. Can't believe my little Colt will be turning 3 on the 17th of this month.

God is so good!
